Amanda Kissin Low
Amanda Kissin Low is a seven-time Emmy-winning producer of TV documentaries and a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and Barnard College. Since leaving the news business, she has devoted herself to organizing mentoring programs for at-risk teenage girls in Harlem, while serving on the board of Storefront Academy Harlem and The South Bronx. She has also served on The Moth development committee. Additionally, Amanda has produced short films for nonprofits to use for fundraising and marketing.
Her forthcoming memoir, “We’re All Adults Here,” is a tragi-comic story of deceit, loss, and chaos in the poshest of places. It’s the story of an Upper East Side Manhattan high schooler who wants what every 15-year-old girl wants: to be pretty, popular, and, most of all, loved. Along her destructive, uncharted path, a search for her biological father leads her to a handsome, charismatic Belgian con artist who, among other claims, purports to be a CIA assassin, and whose outlandish history includes a marriage to Barbara Feldon, famous for playing the spy Agent 99 on the wildly popular 1960’s TV show “Get Smart.”
The memoir highlights the vulnerability of teenage girls no matter their circumstances.
